About Us
Muslim Community in Dundalk Louth
There are currently approximately 600 people in the Muslim Community in Dundalk. Our main activity is centred in the Mosque that is based in the Ramparts, Dundalk. The Mosque as well as providing daily prayer services and spiritual guidance, provides various supports for example marriage guidance, family support and counselling. The Mosque also has a madrassa for children.
In terms of good relations, the Muslim Community has already established a number of valuable and on-going relationships with local education providers, the community and voluntary sector and state agencies. Non-Muslims are able to freely visit the Mosque as individuals or groups.
The Muslim Community regularly holds clinics with a Garda Community Officer, and we also operate on a cross border basis with some activities taking place with the Crossmaglen community.
